Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a chronic dermatologic disorder causing depigmentation on the skin. The cells resonsible for skin pigmentation is called melanocytes. When these cells die or are unable to function, Vitiligo occurs.
A report by CNN states that in 1993 Michael Jackson's dermatologist , Dr. Arnold Klein released a statement saying that Jackson had the skin disease (Vitiligo).
Although Doctors and researchers have different theories on the disorder, the cause of the disease is not yet known; however, there is strong proof that people having the disorder inherit a group of three genes making them vulnerable to depigmentation.
Late Pop star, Michael Jackson is said to have this disorder.
Although many people believed that Michael Jackson bleached His skin, it is reported that Jackson in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1993 admitted for the first time that He had the disease.
Vitiligo may be hereditory and a wikipedia.org report states that it is a familial trait in domestic animals.
Ultrviolet irradation is one of the remedies in treating Vitiligo.
